Kingdom Life Church has several weekly, fortnightly or monthly Small Groups which fall within 3 categories; Mission Groups, Equipping Groups and Life Groups. These groups are for regular attendees in Kingdom Life Church. They run on different days/times of the week and each type of group has a different emphasis for meeting.
Our Mission Groups are for those who wish to find a way to introduce a friend to church without having to go straight for a Sunday meeting! Misson Groups are small, friendly and hosted often at someone’s house or in the Kingdom Life Church building. Each group has a unique theme and purpose.
Equipping Groups aim to instruct group members on a certain topic or in a bible study following a certain passage or topic. These groups are educational and train individuals up for ministry in their everyday lives.
Life Groups are designed for members to join in fellowship with one another, share testimony together, pray for each other, worship collectively and study the Word together in a relaxed homely environment.
CURRENT MISSION GROUPS
We meet weekly on Thursday from 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm, at the Kingdom Life Church building.
The Daniel Plan teaches a step-by-step approach and offers simple ways to incorporate healthy choices into your current lifestyle. Throughout the program you are encouraged to rely on God’s power, and the application of dependable biblical principles.
The essentials of Faith and Friends are what we call the “secret sauce” that makes The Daniel Plan so effective. The program benefits are accelerated when done in a supportive community of friends because God designed us to thrive in relationships. The process of getting healthy and staying healthy relies on the support and encouragement of friends. With the support of God and the group, you have far more than willpower helping you to make positive changes so you can be consistent and sustain your new healthy lifestyle.
Local History group
Currently, day and time are TBC.
We will go to local places of history monthly e.g. Lamport Hall, Stowe Gardens, Naseby and explore how these places have affected Northamptonshire and so impacted the lives of ourselves and those living at the time. So we can feel more a part of Northampton culture and more embedded into the town and locality.
We meet monthly on a mutually agreeable day in a location close to Town Centre. The focus of the book club is on Christian fiction books. The group will decide together on a book for the next month, suggestions from all members are very welcome. Let’s read, discuss, ask questions and look for answers. We hope that we’ll be able to use the stories to encourage, build and bless one another. Let’s share the joy of reading.
We meet weekly on Wednesday evening at 7:30 pm in the Community Hall at Kingdom Life Church. The idea for the Zumba group has come from a few people who want a fun way to do a bit of exercise and look after the bodies that God has given us. We will be using a DVD, as we’re not experts but we expect there to be fun and laughter – which in itself is good exercise. Participants are responsible for assessing their own fitness, if they are able to take part and when they would need to stop. No special experience or knowledge is required.
Local House of Prayer
We meet weekly on Wednesday evenings at 7:30 pm – 9:30 pm in Kingsthorpe. The group meet to pray, using the Ffald-y-brenin local houses of prayer model. This will include praying for blessing individuals, the local area, the church, Northampton and for God’s kingdom to come in power and God’s will be done in Northampton. For more information see Ffald-y-brenin website and Roy Godwin’s books for more info.
CURRENT EQUIPPING GROUPS
Way Of The Spirit
We meet fortnightly on Thursday evenings from 7:30 pm in the Kingsthorpe area. The ‘Way of the Spirit’* is a powerful way of engaging personally and fruitfully with the Word of God, It is a two-edged sword, the Word, and the Spirit. The course will build confidence in hearing, understanding and applying what the Spirit of God reveals to you. We will be doing a course entitled “Water into Wine”.
We meet weekly on Wednesday evenings – location is flexible. Mission, – Around the World – Around the Corner. What do you really know about mission? We invite you to discover the excitement and the challenges of the world of mission. Do you want to know the amazing story of what God is doing around the world today? Are you interested in a particular country or region? Is there a particular people group you want to understand better and be able to reach out to them, in the UK or elsewhere? If yes, this is the equipping course for you.
We meet weekly on Wednesday evenings at 7:30 pm – 8:45 pm in the Abington area, although location can be flexible. The Know Your Bible study course is based on Proverbs. You will need to have completed the study at home, which takes about 1 hour before we meet together. Each meeting will start with tea/coffee and then we will have an hour`s discussion on the truths we have read. The group is open to everyone and regular commitment is preferable. Proverbs is full of words of wisdom and life – both of which are attributes of who Jesus is. Come and be encouraged by the Living Word of God!
Men's Bible Study
We meet weekly on Friday mornings in the Carey room at Kingdom Life Church from 10 AM to 12 PM. Using recognised study guides we explore the focus of the study and use of scripture to come to the conclusions that excite and are relevant today. Currently, we are looking at a Derek Prince study book.
If you’re considering making Kingdom Life Church your spiritual home, please join us at our four-week Connections course on a Thursday evening.
It aims to give you an understanding of the beliefs, values, and culture that shape the life of our church and to provide you with a sure foundation to build on, with sessions incorporating topics such as The Father Heart and God’s Family.
To find out more, email the church office at email@example.com or speak to one of our leadership team.
Firm Foundations Course
This is a new course that will be run on a Wednesday evening in the Upper Room at Kingdom Life Church at 7:30 pm – 9:30 pm. As the name suggests, this is a course that we have written to help ground people solidly in the truth of a living relationship with God. The two main themes that the course explores are our identity and our purpose in Christ. The course is for anyone but we do especially encourage those who are new to KLC or new to faith because these issues are part of the DNA of Christianity and of Kingdom Life Church.
